Email marketing is one of the fastes improving branches of marketing in the world. Because a lot of people do business through the internet it is one of the ways that crime develops. One common way is to send a message as an advert with some link, than in this link you will be asked to give your email address. Than it could be hacked, or you can be send unauthorised emails. Such emails are called spam. To protect your computer you should get a spam protection programme. Spam protection can sometimes be provided by anti virus programmes they may have some options that will test messages. Usually the way any spam protection works is that there are some filters and if a message does not mach one of them it is redirected to spam box. So that people do not read anything from there. Such messages may also contain a computer virus or a trojan horse, some of them can be difficult to detect and delete. Even if a message went through all filters but you think it may contain something suspicious simply ignore it.
